About the role
Leading the delivery of complex projects for Hargreaves Lansdown's front-office engineering teams.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Delivery Manager to lead delivery of complex projects within our customer-facing engineering teams. This role will be responsible for the successful delivery of technology solutions that enhance our client experience, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and driving innovation.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple deliveries, ensuring effective planning, execution, and closure of projects.
- Implement, and optimize delivery processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) to improve efficiency and predictability.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, engineering managers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and dependencies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance within the engineering teams.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of delivered solutions through effective testing strategies and quality assurance processes.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly and concisely to all relevant stakeholders, including senior management.
- Mentor and coach team members, promoting professional growth and skill development.
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction of customer-facing technology initiatives.

Job Qualifications
- Proven experience (8+ years) in a delivery management or senior project management role within a technology-driven environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing customer-facing software development projects.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with financial services or FinTech industries is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
