Delivery Manager – DV Cleared – National Security

Role: Delivery Manager

Location: Cheltenham

Salary: Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits

Security Clearance: Active Enhanced DV Clearance

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're supporting a leading consultancy delivering complex technology and transformation programmes across the UK National Security community.

As a Delivery Manager, you'll lead multidisciplinary teams delivering secure digital, cyber and technology projects for high-profile government customers. You'll be responsible for ensuring successful delivery while building trusted client relationships, developing delivery capability, and identifying opportunities to grow existing engagements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, solving delivery challenges and working closely with customers in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.

THE ROLE

You'll be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Working alongside technical specialists, customer stakeholders and account teams, you'll drive delivery performance while supporting the long-term growth of customer accounts.

You'll also:

  • Lead multidisciplinary delivery teams across secure technology programmes
  • Manage project delivery, financial performance and commercial outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Monitor delivery risks, issues and dependencies, implementing mitigation where required
  • Coach and mentor delivery teams, promoting Agile and continuous improvement practices
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards
  • Support resource planning, recruitment and team development
  • Work with account teams to identify follow-on work and new delivery opportunities
  • Champion best practice across delivery governance and operational processes

DELIVERY MANAGER ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Proven experience leading delivery within complex IT, cyber or digital transformation programmes
  • Background working within National Security, Defence or secure Government environments
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery principles and project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, APM or MSP
  • Experience managing customer relationships and engaging senior stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, project performance or delivery outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Active UK Enhanced DV Clearance

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Consultancy or professional services background
  • Experience delivering software engineering, cyber security or cloud transformation programmes
  • Knowledge of Time & Materials and Fixed Price delivery models
  • Experience supporting business growth through account development or pre-sales activity
  • Coaching, mentoring or developing high-performing delivery teams
