Role Purpose

To coordinate the secure, compliant, and efficient delivery of exams and related operations within a country or location, ensuring all test-day and post-test activities meet British Council, awarding body, and regulatory standards. The role oversees venue and equipment readiness, delivery partner management, and workforce coordination, while working closely with Planning & Registration, Workforce Resourcing, Venues, and Customer Management teams to align capacity, optimise costs, fulfil customer commitments, and deliver a high-quality candidate experience.

Main Accountabilities

The role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of secure, compliant, and high-quality test-day and post-test delivery, ensuring adherence to global procedures, security standards, and regulatory requirements. This includes overseeing venue and equipment readiness, managing confidential exam materials, coordinating delivery partners and suppliers, supporting workforce deployment, and leading operational readiness activities, risk assessments, incident management, and business continuity plans. The postholder acts as the primary operational contact for venues, delivery partners, and test-day teams, working closely with Planning & Registration and Workforce Resourcing teams to ensure operational readiness and effective service delivery.

The role also ensures compliance with safeguarding, exam security, health and safety, and data privacy requirements, maintaining audit-ready records, risk registers, and contingency plans. It manages stakeholder relationships, customer communications, and delivery partner performance to ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience, while addressing operational issues and driving continuous improvement. In addition, the postholder oversees delivery budgets, contracts, supplier performance, and resource utilisation, provides operational performance data to support planning and decision-making, and leads and develops delivery staff and test-day teams, fostering a culture of accountability, security, and excellence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
