Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The Delivery & Solutions Manager will support the delivery of targeted data and technology initiatives across the portfolio, working under the Head of Delivery and Portfolio.
The role blends business analysis and project management responsibilities. Supporting structured delivery of initiatives while ensuring high-quality requirements definition and process documentation. The role will act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, enabling effective translation of business needs into actionable delivery.
Reports to: Group Head of Delivery & Portfolio
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Support
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of targeted initiatives within the technology portfolio
- Track progress against agreed milestones, highlighting risks, dependencies, and blockers
- Maintain delivery artefacts (plans, RAID logs, status updates) to ensure transparency and control
- Support governance processes, including preparation of updates for programme and leadership forums
- Work with cross-functional teams (internal and partners) to ensure aligned delivery
- Ensure work is appropriately scoped, estimated, and sequenced
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Lead requirements gathering across initiatives, working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Document clear, structured requirements (e.g. user stories, functional/non-functional requirements)
- Ensure traceability between business objectives, requirements, and delivered outputs
- Support solution validation and acceptance against agreed requirements
- Manage changes to requirements and maintain alignment across stakeholders
Process Mapping & Improvement
- Lead process mapping activities, documenting “as-is” and “to-be” processes
- Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement across business processes
- Support the design of improved processes aligned to target operating models and system capabilities
- Ensure process changes are clearly documented and communicated to stakeholders
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage stakeholders to understand priorities, challenges, and expected outcomes
- Act as a conduit between business users and technical teams, ensuring clarity and shared understanding
- Facilitate workshops to define scope, requirements, and processes
- Manage stakeholder expectations through structured communication and delivery updates

- Contribute to improving ways of working across delivery and business analysis practices
- Support standardisation of templates, documentation, and delivery approaches
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality in how initiatives are defined and delivered
Skills
Core Skills
- Strong business analysis capability, including requirements elicitation and documentation
- Practical project management skills (planning, tracking, risk management)
- Experience in process mapping (as-is / to-be) and process improvement
- Ability to translate between business and technical contexts effectively
- Structured, logical, and outcome-oriented approach
Technical & Data Awareness
- Experience working on technology or data-focused initiatives
- Ability to define requirements that support technical delivery
- Understanding of core data concepts (e.g. data structures, data quality, integrations)
- Exposure to modern data platforms or cloud environments desirable
Stakeholder & Delivery Skills
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across parallel initiatives
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving delivery environment
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to challenge constructively
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or hybrid BA/PM role
- Experience operating across a range of project methodologies (Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid etc)
- Experience supporting delivery of technology or transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and process mapping (as-is / to-be)
- Experience working with both business and technical stakeholders
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
Desirable
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (backlog management, boards, pipelines awareness)
- Experience in data transformation or digital delivery programmes
- Exposure to data or analytics initiatives
- Knowledge of Agile and/or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Experience working with third-party delivery partners
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Business Analysis, Agile, Scrum Master, PRINCE2, PMP)
