Delivery Supervisor
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Time Transport Supervisor to join our team.
You will be accountable for the efficient running of a busy delivery operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of drivers and pickers, motivating them to achieve their daily targets in support of exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure delivered department compliance with Company policy and procedures, taking a consistent approach with all team members.
- Communicate important management information to all relevant team members.
- Supervise and maintain a safe working environment for all colleagues and customers, reporting any Health & Safety concerns to the Store Management team.
- Promote and drive the brand image through:
- Strong product knowledge.
- Excellent customer service.
- Ensuring company guidelines are consistently followed.
- Support the delivery manager in ensuring:
- All vehicles are roadworthy.
- All vehicles meet legal compliance requirements.
- Supervise, plan, and coordinate to ensure all tasks are completed effectively and on time.
Requirements
- Experience in supervising a small to medium-sized team, preferably in either a warehouse or transport environment.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
- Management CPC qualification would be advantageous.
