# Transport Supervisor – Exciting Opportunity – Booker Group
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Supervisor to join our team. You will be accountable for the day-to-day running of a busy delivery operation.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead a team of drivers and pickers
- Motivate the team to achieve daily targets
- Maintain a customer-focused approach with excellence in phone and customer service
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the Delivered Department is compliant with Company policy and procedures, applying a consistent approach across all team members.
- Communicating essential management information to relevant team members.
- Supervising and maintaining a safe working environment, including reporting Health & Safety concerns to the Store Management team.
- Actively promoting brand image through:
- In-depth knowledge of products
- Exceptional customer service
- Strict adherence to company guidelines
- Supporting the Delivery Manager in ensuring:
- All vehicles are roadworthy
- Full legal compliance
- Supervising, planning, and coordinating to deliver tasks effectively and on time.
Requirements
- Experience in supervising small-to-medium-sized teams in either:
- Warehouse environments
- Transport operations
- Strong background in a customer-focused environment
- A Management CPC qualification would be advantageous.
