Role Overview
The Middle Office Senior Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery to our most strategic clients – both internal and external.
This individual acts as the primary point of contact, building strong relationships and providing proactive support to resolve complex issues while facilitating efficient trade processing within the Delta 1 Equity Swaps business. The role demands a deep understanding of financial operations, robust analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders—while also exploring cutting-edge solutions through AI.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the dedicated Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for D1 Top Tier Priority Clients, fostering strong relationships to understand their unique needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to add value through enhanced support and efficient issue resolution.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a key liaison, interfacing directly with:
- Delta 1 Trading desk
- Financial Control
- Settlements teams
- Support Business-as-Usual (BAU) functions and address ad-hoc requests promptly and accurately.
Trade Processing & Allocation
- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of Swap Trade allocations, adhering strictly to internal procedures and market regulations.
Operational Control & Reconciliation
- Execute critical Middle Office reconciliations and controls, maintaining a robust and controlled environment to support business operations.
Process Optimization & Root Cause Analysis
- Conduct deep root cause analyses for operational inefficiencies and trade discrepancies.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control.
Issue Resolution
- Drive timely and effective resolution of client and operational issues, escalating as necessary while keeping all stakeholders informed.

Technical Liaison & Issue Remediation
- Collaborate closely with support teams to:
- Identify and diagnose repetitive operational issues.
- Perform in-depth root cause analyses.
- Work with technology teams to implement long-term fixes and preventive measures.
AI Integration & Automation
- Identify opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation to streamline manual processes, reduce operational risk, and improve overall efficiency and accuracy.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Experience & Expertise
- Proven experience in a client-facing support role within financial services, or equivalent trade/desk support experience. (Preferred) Direct experience supporting a demanding trading desk, ideally with exposure to Equity Swaps or complex derivatives.
Operational Mobility
- Demonstrated experience managing or participating in moving functions/processes across geographically dispersed teams.
Core Skills & Awareness
- Results-Oriented: A track record of delivering consistently under strict deadlines and high-pressure conditions.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of impacts on risk and Profit & Loss (P&L) in trading/financial operations environments.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent abilities to:
- Identify issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis.
- Propose effective solutions.
- AI Literacy: Familiarity with emerging technologies, especially AI and automation tools, and their application in financial operations.
Communication
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage at all organizational levels – from clients to senior stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or University degree equivalent.
