Job Title: Demand Capacity and Reporting Manager
Location: Covent Garden, London (hybrid)
Type: Permanent, full-time
About the Role
As our technology portfolio continues to grow, we're creating a brand-new role to transform how we forecast demand, plan capacity and make resourcing decisions. We're looking for a Demand Forecasting & Capacity Planning Manager to establish and lead a new capability that will give us greater visibility of resource demand across our IT and change portfolio.
This is an opportunity to build the function from the ground up, creating the insight that will shape how our technology teams deliver today and in the future.
As the technical expert working at the heart of our Demand Management function, you'll combine data, reporting and commercial insight to influence strategic portfolio planning and help us move from reactive to proactive resource planning. Your work will support smarter workforce decisions, improve project delivery and reduce reliance on last-minute contractor hiring, while providing senior leaders with the insight they need to make confident portfolio decisions.
Success in this role will come from your ability to turn complex information into meaningful recommendations, build trusted relationships across the business, and drive lasting improvements to the way we forecast and plan.
Responsibilities
- Establish and embed a centralised demand forecasting and capacity planning process across the IT and change portfolio.
- Produce forward-looking forecasts and scenario modelling to support portfolio planning and investment decisions.
- Develop insightful Power BI dashboards and reporting that provide visibility of demand, capacity, utilisation and delivery risk.
- Analyse workforce trends and recommend the most effective resourcing approach, balancing permanent, fixed-term and contingent talent.
- Provide data-driven insight to improve planning, prioritisation and delivery across the technology portfolio.
- Act as the technical lead for reporting and forecasting, mentoring colleagues and continuously improving reporting capability.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to influence planning decisions and embed best practice across the organisation.
To be Successful in the Role, You Will Have:
- Experience in Demand Management, Capacity Planning, Resource Management, PMO or Portfolio Planning within a commercial technology environment.
- Strong Power BI skills, with experience creating dashboards and turning data into meaningful business insight.
- Experience using PPM or resource planning tools to support project and portfolio delivery.
- A commercial mindset, with the ability to balance resource availability, delivery priorities and cost considerations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and build trusted relationships.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to introduce new ways of working in a growing function.
- The technical credibility to coach others and become the go-to expert for demand forecasting and reporting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
