The Role In a Nutshell
Own the demand and revenue forecast for a strategically important, high-value product portfolio. You'll turn messy, conflicting data into the single trusted view the business plans against, influencing how revenue and resource get committed across the country. If you love building forecasts that genuinely move commercial decisions, and presenting that story to people who act on it, this is your seat.
The Business
This business is a large, well-established UK infrastructure and services organisation operating at national scale, in the middle of a significant multi-year investment and growth programme. It's a business that invests heavily in its people, gives you real commercial influence early, and offers a genuine path to grow your forecasting and analytics career across a major, complex operation.
The Role
You'll lead volume and revenue forecasting for a major high-value product portfolio. Day to day you'll produce forecasts of new sales, the existing base and revenue, then explain the movements, trends and risks behind them to the teams who plan resource, manage supply chains and make the big commercial calls.
This is a true analyst-storyteller role. You'll work across sales, finance, commercial, strategy, product and capacity planning, often dealing with contradictory information and using your judgement to extract the real signal from conflicting data. You'll assess how special offers, discounts, bespoke pricing and product substitution shift demand, and you'll be the unbiased, independent voice the business relies on.
What matters is that you're a strong commercial forecaster who can handle large datasets, build robust models, and make the numbers make sense to a room of senior stakeholders.

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
