Demand Generation Executive

At IRIS Software Group, we build software that helps organisations work smarter, move faster and stay compliant.

Our HCM solutions support businesses with the tools they need to manage their people, payroll and HR processes more effectively. As our customers continue to face changing legislation, new ways of working and increasing pressure to do more with less, our marketing team plays a key role in helping them understand where IRIS can help.

We’re now looking for a Marketing Business Partner, Demand to join our HCM marketing team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with marketing campaign experience who wants to take the next step in their career, build confidence across demand generation, and be part of a team where ideas, curiosity and fresh thinking are genuinely valued.

You do not need payroll experience. You do not need to know everything on day one. What matters most is that you understand how campaigns work, enjoy bringing activity together, and want to keep developing as a modern B2B marketer.

Why This Role Matters

Great marketing helps the right customers find the right solution at the right time.

In this role, you’ll help create and deliver campaigns that generate interest, support sales conversations and build pipeline for our payroll solutions, including Staffology Payroll and IRIS Payroll Services.

You’ll be focused mainly on new business demand, helping us reach organisations that need better, simpler and more effective ways to manage payroll. You’ll also support activity with existing customers where there are opportunities to introduce them to more of what IRIS can offer.

This is not a role where you’ll sit in the background waiting for instructions. You’ll be close to the activity, close to the results, and close to the people who can help you learn, improve and grow.

About the Team You'll Join

You’ll join the HCM demand marketing team, working with colleagues across marketing, product marketing, sales, operations, external agencies and other specialist teams.

The team is collaborative, supportive and open to new ideas. There has been a lot of change in the wider marketing world, especially around AI, search, customer behaviour and how people discover software, so this is a great time to join and help shape what comes next.

You’ll have experienced people around you, but also plenty of space to bring your own thinking. Whether that’s improving an email journey, helping shape a webinar, testing a campaign idea, reviewing performance data, or exploring new channels, you’ll be encouraged to get involved and contribute.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The team is spread across the UK, so this role can be remote, with occasional travel for team meetings. Being near Manchester or Slough would be helpful, but it is not essential.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll help plan, coordinate and deliver demand marketing campaigns that support new business growth across our payroll solutions.

This will include:

  • Creating and supporting integrated campaigns across email, webinars, content syndication, events, digital activity and thought leadership.
  • Helping turn campaign ideas into clear plans, with defined audiences, messages, actions and success measures.
  • Working with product marketing to make sure our messaging is clear, relevant and easy for customers to understand.
  • Coordinating with internal teams and external agencies to keep campaigns moving and make sure activity is delivered to a high standard.
  • Supporting webinars and events, including promotion, messaging, speaker coordination and follow-up activity.
  • Reviewing campaign performance across areas such as emails, landing pages, website activity, leads, pipeline and ROI.
  • Keeping campaign tasks, data, updates and actions organised and up to date.
  • Helping identify what is working, what could be improved and where we can test new ideas.
  • Supporting campaign reviews and sharing useful insight with the wider team.
  • Bringing curiosity around modern marketing trends, including AI, AEO, search behaviour, customer perception and account-based marketing.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who has already gained some marketing experience and is ready to build on it.

You might currently be a Marketing Executive, Demand Marketing Executive, Campaign Executive, Digital Marketing Executive, Marketing Coordinator, or in a similar role where you’ve helped deliver campaigns and now want more ownership, exposure and development.

You’ll likely be a strong fit if you have:

  • Experience supporting or delivering marketing campaigns.
  • A good understanding of how campaigns generate leads, engagement and pipeline.
  • Exposure to channels such as email, webinars, digital content, landing pages, events or paid/activity-led campaigns.
  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage several tasks and deadlines at once.
  • The confidence to work with different people across marketing, sales, agencies and operations.
  • A practical, hands-on approach and the willingness to get stuck into the detail.
  • An interest in campaign performance and using data to understand what is working.
  • Good attention to detail when reviewing copy, assets, campaign journeys or brand quality.
  • A creative mindset and the confidence to suggest ideas, improvements or new approaches.
  • A positive, adaptable attitude and a genuine interest in learning.
