Demand Planning Manager - Interim
We are looking for a strategic and collaborative Demand Planning Manager to join our London-based team on an interim basis. In this role, you will lead the development of robust, insight-driven demand forecasts and play a key role in driving cross-functional alignment through the S&OP process. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to support planning, enable informed decision-making, and contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, systems, and processes that underpin our demand planning capability.
What you will be doing:
- Ensure the accurate development and timely delivery of demand forecasts that align with evolving business objectives, supporting decision-making across time horizons, markets, and organizational priorities.
- Translate commercial activity, promotions, and market trends into actionable demand insights.
- Ensuring effective meetings are scheduled and facilitated, achieving consensus forecasting with relevant cross-functional stakeholders. Challenge forecast assumptions constructively and drive accountability across commercial teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert for demand planning in cross-functional initiatives and projects, contributing strategic insights and technical expertise.
- Oversee product portfolio analysis, including lifecycle management, classification, and rationalization, making actionable recommendations to the wider business and maintaining data in relevant systems.
- Support the implementation of tools and systems which impact demand planning, ensuring successful integration, implementation, and usage.
- Support the continued development and embedding of the IBP/S&OP process, ensuring practical adoption across the business.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators for the demand planning team.
- Ensure continuity and stability of the demand planning process during a key business period, maintaining strong stakeholder engagement and planning discipline.

What we need from you:
- Able to quickly understand complex global supply chain and commercial dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of forecasting processes within a short onboarding period.
- Experience operating effectively in fast-paced, changing environments with limited handover time.
- Previous experience leading, engaging, and motivating demand planning teams.
- Excellent knowledge of forecasting fundamentals and application.
- Experience in consumer goods, retail, ecommerce, or omni-channel environments preferred.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across all functions and levels within the organisation.
- Experience forecasting across high-SKU portfolios and international markets.
- Strong influencing skills with experience managing senior stakeholders across commercial and operational functions.
- Ability to balance data-driven forecasting with commercial judgement.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel user, proficient with Pivot Tables, Lookups, Dashboards, and large-scale data analysis and manipulation. (Experience with Power Query and VBA is highly desirable).
- Experience of using statistical demand planning software.
- Experience in using SAP S4 Hanna ERP system.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to present complex data for business buy-in.
