Job Opportunity in Older Adult Mental Health Services - NHS Fife
An exciting and new opportunity has arisen with the older adult mental health services in NHS Fife as part of the ongoing redesign of the service and transformation of nursing roles.
The service is seeking a highly skilled individual who is passionate about dementia care who will work in collaboration primarily with psychology colleagues in the implementation of the Newcastle Model Formulation across in-patient and community settings.
As a skilled nurse you will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist dementia support, education and training to staff within older adult mental health services. This post will involve travelling between various hospital and community sites. You will play a key role in the delivery of dementia training and support and work closely with people living with dementia who are displaying high levels of stress and distress associated with their dementia to develop person-centred non-pharmacological care plans.
Requirements
The service is seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse with extensive experience in delivering Psychological Approach to Stress and Distress training across multiple professions and is passionate in dementia care, along with having completed the Dementia Skilled Leadership Programme (DSIL). The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, clinical expertise in dementia care and a commitment to delivering person-centred care in line with NHS Fife values.
