Demi Chef de Partie

As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will play an important role in delivering the exceptional food quality and consistency that define Nobu Hotel London Portman Square. Working closely with the Chef de Partie and wider kitchen brigade, you will take ownership of your section, preparing and presenting dishes to the highest standards while supporting the development of junior chefs and maintaining a safe, organised and efficient kitchen.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious chef looking to develop their career within a world renowned luxury hospitality brand.

You will

  • Prepare, cook and present dishes to Nobu standards with consistency and attention to detail
  • Take responsibility for the day to day organisation and readiness of your section
  • Follow recipes, portion controls and brand standards to ensure exceptional quality
  • Monitor food quality and support junior chefs working within your section
  • Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, allergen management and health and safety
  • Receive and store deliveries correctly, ensuring quality and stock rotation standards are maintained
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is clean, safe and report maintenance issues promptly
  • Communicate effectively with the wider kitchen and restaurant teams throughout service
  • Support, train and welcome new team members into the kitchen
  • Attend team briefings and contribute ideas to improve quality, efficiency and the guest experience
  • Be available to support other kitchen areas when required
  • Demonstrate a proactive, positive and team focused approach to work
  • Embody Nobu values of Family, Crafted, Smile and Kokoro in every interaction

What We're Looking For

You have experience working as a Demi Chef de Partie or an ambitious Commis Chef ready to take the next step within a luxury hotel or premium restaurant. Passionate about food and committed to excellence, you take pride in delivering consistently high standards while maintaining a calm and organised approach in a fast paced kitchen.

You are eager to learn, enjoy supporting and developing others, and understand the importance of teamwork in creating exceptional dining experiences. Strong knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and kitchen safety is essential.
