Join the talented kitchen brigade at The Grand Hotel Birmingham, where you'll work alongside experienced chefs in one of the city's most iconic luxury hotels.
Whether preparing dishes for Isaac's restaurant, private dining or events, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills while delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
What the role involves;
- Prepare and present dishes to the highest standards within your allocated section.
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of a section in the kitchen, ensuring quality and consistency in every service.
- Develop a thorough understanding of our menus and recipes.
- Work closely with the wider kitchen brigade, supporting other sections when required.
- Ensure excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times.
This is a full time role that involves working 40 hours over 5 days with shifts such as 09:00 – 17:30, 11:00 – 18:30, and 16:00 – 22:30 between Monday to Sunday on a rota basis.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
You'll already have experience working in a busy professional kitchen, ideally as a Commis Chef looking to take the next step, or as a Demi Chef de Partie wanting to continue your development.

- A good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards – a Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene qualification (or equivalent) would be desirable.
- The ability to work well as part of a busy kitchen team while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
