We are seeking an experienced Demi Chef de Partie to join a high‑calibre fine dining kitchen, where precision, discipline, and excellence are paramount. This role is for a chef who leads by example, combining meticulous attention to detail with calm authority, refined execution, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. The Role As part of the Fifth Floor team, you will play a key role in shaping both the guest experience and the performance of the kitchen team within one of London’s most stylish dining destinations. Key responsibilities include: Work alongside our exceptional Head Chef and Sous Chef to craft beautifully presented, high‑quality dishes that delight our guests. Master each recipe, ensuring every plate leaving the kitchen is executed with precision and elegance. Maintain impeccable hygiene, health, and safety standards, keeping your section spotless and service‑ready at all times. Stay organised and efficient, preparing flawless mise en place to guarantee a smooth, timely, and elevated dining experience for every guest. Collaborate closely with your team, supporting your colleagues, and celebrating excellence throughout the kitchen. Bring flexibility and commitment - our guests expect outstanding service during evenings and weekends. From the first welcome to the final farewell, you will help create an environment defined by warm hospitality, where every guest feels recognised, valued, and immersed in a dining experience that is stylish, current, and distinctive. What We’re Looking For You are a confident and experienced culinary professional who combines strong technical skill with leadership, calmness under pressure, and pride in high standards. You will likely have: Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef within a quality restaurant, hotel, or luxury hospitality environment Excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen standards, with a focus on consistency and quality Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to support, train, and motivate junior chefs Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for presentation and flavour Confidence in running your section independently while working closely with the Sous and Head Chef The ability to remain organised, focused, and professional in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen A collaborative, team-focused mindset and genuine pride in delivering outstanding food and maintaining exceptional standards Why Join the Fifth Floor Working at Harvey Nichols means being part of a brand defined by style, creativity, and cultural relevance — and now, its next era.
