Location: Liverpool Street (Mon–Fri, no weekend service) Salary: £31,970 per annum + overtime at 1.5x rate

Key Responsibilities
As a Demi Chef de Partie, your role will include:

Food Preparation & Execution
- Prep and cook dishes adhering to ** recipes, seasonal ingredients, and culinary standards**
- Uphold strict food safety and hygiene protocols at all times

Station Management
- Oversee and optimise station efficiency, ensuring smooth production of assigned dishes
- Maintain organisation, cleanliness, and station inventory (includes utensils, supplies, and equipment)
- Troubleshoot challenges to meet service standards during peak periods

Quality Control & Flame Control
- Meticulously assess every dish for presentation, taste, and consistency
- Offer constructive feedback to colleagues to elevate standards
- Act as a mirror for excellence, holding the team to high expectations

Team Collaboration & Mentorship
- Communicate clearly with Head/Sous Chef, Brasserie/Station teams, and front-of-house staff
- Offer colour (leadership while cooking) and support to junior team members
- Promote a psychologically safe, collaborative culture

Menu Development & Innovation
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to refine and test new recipes
- Suggest creative improvements and contribute to menu evolution
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques

- Cleaning & Maintenance
- Ensure your designated workstation is spotless, efficient, and well-equipped
- Monitor and report equipment malfunctions for timely repairs
- Participate in kitchen-wide cleaning duties
Key Requirements
To succeed, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or equivalent role, demonstrating discretionary skills and managerial qualities
- Intensive kitchen expertise, including:
- Proficiency in fine dining techniques, mise en place, and multi-course planning
- Knowledge across global cuisines (including seasonal ingredients and sustainability practices)
- Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain Level 2 Food Hygiene)
- Ability to excel under pressure—high-volume, fast-paced, ever-changing environments (e.g., catered events, fine dining, or large-scale operations)
- Keen eye for detail—judging doneness, plating perfection, and taste consistency
- Strong communication and cultural leadership—coaching without compromising standards
