Demi Chef de Partie

Calling Chefs!! – Full-Time Demi Chef de Partie at The Queen’s Club

Purpose

Produce food across all areas of the Club to the highest standard and quality, ensuring:

  • Food hygiene and general health and safety procedures are met
  • Support and build The Queen’s Club's reputation as the finest racquet sports club in the world

Key Responsibilities

Food Production

  • Deliver consistently high-standard food across all Club areas while maintaining food safety at all times
  • Follow all food production standards
  • Maintain an up-to-date daily understanding of catering and function requirements
  • Produce tournament food (summer/Club events) to standard as directed by the Head Chef
  • Assist senior chefs with training and supervising junior/seasonal chefs
  • Take responsibility for kitchen shifts as required
  • Minimise food wastage and advise Chef de Partie/Sous Chefs when needed
  • Follow daily opening, closing, and cleaning procedures
  • Check kitchen equipment safety before use and report issues immediately
  • Assist with food/general store deliveries
  • Implement security procedures in kitchen areas/stores to prevent theft/loss

Health, Safety and Food Hygiene

  • Ensure statutory and internal health, safety, and food hygiene meet all requirements
  • Maintain accurate food preparation/storage records
  • Work within legislative safety requirements, reporting hazards to Chef de Partie/Sous Chefs
  • Adopt safeguarding policies for child/adults-at-risk protection
  • Comply with Manual Handling Regulations

General Requirements

  • Propose menu improvements and efficiency suggestions
  • Assist Head Chef in menu development and cost control
  • Help induct new/agency staff
  • Support colleagues and follow the Head Chef’s directions in all scenarios
  • Attend internal meetings
  • Adhere strictly to The Queen’s Club’s values
