Are you an experienced governance professional looking for your next challenge?
We are seeking a Democratic Services Manager and Deputy Monitoring Officer to play a pivotal role in supporting effective democratic decision-making and maintaining the highest standards of governance across the organisation.
Leading a dedicated team, you will oversee democratic services, member support, civic office and governance processes, while providing expert advice to councillors and senior officers. As Deputy Monitoring Officer, you will support the Monitoring Officer in promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct, ensuring legal and constitutional compliance, and strengthening transparency and accountability.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and collaborative professional with strong leadership skills, an excellent understanding of local government governance, and a passion for public service. - All employees are eligible to join the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
- Paid holiday entitlement starts at 26 days per annum and increases with length of service to a maximum of 33 days per annum. This is pro rata for part-time employees
- In addition to the statutory public holidays, we grant an additional statutory day leave at Christmas
