About the Role
We are recruiting a Laboratory Demonstrator (available throughout the academic year) paid on an hourly basis to support the Department of Engineering at Nottingham Trent University (NTU).
Key Responsibilities
The role will involve actively participating in laboratory and seminar sessions across disciplines including:
- Mechanical engineering
- Electronics
- Biomedical engineering
- Sport engineering
You will:
- Deliver high-quality demonstrating to undergraduate and postgraduate students under the direction of module leaders and academic staff.
- Assist in running technical sessions by: Providing students with advice and support Liaising with technical staff Marking assignments where required.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to clearly explain technical aspects to students.
- Ensure excellent support during sessions while maintaining professionalism.

Requirements
- Proven engineering knowledge (or related field) essential.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in accessible ways.
- Flexible availability for teaching support positions throughout the academic year.
