Dental Clinic Administrator – 22.5 Hours Per Week

Hours: Monday 0830–1700, Thursday 0830–1700 & Friday 0830–1700 Location: Public Dental Services, Fort William (with travel to other sites required)


About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dental Clinic Administrator to join NHS Highland’s Public Dental Services. The role involves working primarily in Fort William but may require travel to other locations.

This position requires experience as a receptionist, strong face-to-face communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The successful candidate must demonstrate:

  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet departmental demands
  • Reliability and adaptability to varying demands

Experience & Skills

  • Essential:

    • Reception experience (preferably NHS, dental, or healthcare environments)
    • Proven track record of public-facing roles with outstanding interpersonal skills
    • Strong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Desirable (advantageous in a NHS/Dental context):

    • Experience of working in NHS Healthcare or Dental Services
    • A full current driving licence (essential, as car use for work purposes is required)
