Purpose of the Role
The Dental Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the operational continuity of our clinics by maintaining, servicing, and repairing dental equipment across the group. This position directly supports clinical teams by ensuring every surgery remains safe, efficient, and fully operational, enabling an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs on dental equipment across the clinic network.
- Diagnose technical issues and implement effective corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Respond to equipment failures and ensure rapid restoration of critical systems.
- Travel across Ireland and, when required, the UK to provide technical support and maintenance services.
- Work closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure all surgeries remain fully functional and compliant.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and equipment performance reports.
- Monitor equipment health and proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
- Participate in occasional emergency and weekend call-outs when required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and operational standards.

Requirements
Education
- Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in medical equipment maintenance or technical service are considered an advantage.
Experience
- Previous experience in equipment maintenance, field service, technical support, or repair roles.
- Experience working with dental equipment is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working independently across multiple locations is highly valued.
- Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
