Role Description
The Dental Knowledge Coach is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting dental apprentices in developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required for successful qualification and progression.

Responsibilities

- Planning and delivering engaging online learning sessions
- Conducting one-to-one coaching
- Providing ongoing academic and pastoral support to learners
- Monitoring learner progress and setting clear objectives
- Using digital platforms to assess work, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records
- Collaborating with internal teams and employers to align training with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Contributing to curriculum improvements
- Maintaining up-to-date dental sector knowledge
- Promoting best practice in teaching, learning, and assessment
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of dentistry, dental nursing, and current clinical guidelines, with experience in the dental sector or as a dental professional.
- Proven experience in coaching, teaching, or mentoring learners, ideally within apprenticeships or vocational training.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging learning content using digital platforms, including virtual classroom tools and online learning resources.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support diverse learners.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including managing caseloads, tracking progress, and meeting quality and compliance requirements.
- Relevant teaching, assessing, or coaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, TAQA, or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one.
- Comfort working remotely, with reliable access to technology and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and employers online.
- Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practice and safeguarding, with an understanding of apprenticeship standards and regulatory frameworks.
