Role Description

The Dental Laboratory Assistant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Glasgow. The assistant will support the preparation, fabrication, and adjustment of dental appliances, including dentures and other prosthetic devices. Typical responsibilities include:

Qualifications

  • Strong foundational knowledge or practical exposure to dentistry and an interest in dental prosthetics.
  • Laboratory skills including handling materials, operating basic lab equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
  • Experience or training in working with dentures, including fabrication, adjustment, or repair.
  • Ability to manage impressions and model work with precision and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to participate in training and continuous learning to refine techniques and stay updated on best practices.
  • Good manual dexterity, visual accuracy, and the ability to follow technical instructions and specifications.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with dental professionals and clients in a professional manner.
  • Strong time management skills and reliability in meeting deadlines and managing multiple cases.
  • Relevant vocational training, certification, or previous experience in a dental laboratory environment is preferred but not mandatory.
