Dental Nurse

Join a Practice with Ambition

About the Role

Railway Road Dental Surgery is looking for a caring, motivated, and professional Dental Nurse to join our friendly team for two days per week.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a practice that has recently come under new ownership, with plans to enhance facilities, expand services, and continue improving the experience for both patients and team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will work alongside our dentists and clinicians to deliver exceptional patient care in a supportive and professional environment.


The Role

You will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth running of our surgeries, providing high-quality chairside support and helping to deliver excellent clinical care and patient experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment
  • Providing high-quality chairside assistance during a range of dental procedures
  • Supporting the delivery of both NHS and private dental treatments
  • Maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and control
  • Preparing, mixing, and handling dental materials and equipment
  • Recording accurate, contemporaneous patient records and dental charting
  • Preparing equipment, materials, and patients for dental radiography, including processing radiographs
  • Monitoring, supporting, and reassuring patients throughout their treatment journey
  • Providing appropriate oral health advice and post-treatment guidance
  • Responding appropriately in medical emergencies and supporting the wider clinical team
  • Making referrals to other healthcare professionals where appropriate
  • Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice and maintaining an exceptional standard of patient care

Requirements

  • GDC registered Dental Nurse
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, organised, and proactive approach
  • A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding patient care
  • Someone who enjoys working collaboratively and wants to be part of a practice with ambitious plans for the future
