Dental Nurse

Location: Dentopedia Group Clinics Schedule: Weekdays & Weekends Job Type: Full time Salary: £13.50 – £15.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a wide range of treatments
  • Prepare and maintain clinical rooms to a high standard
  • Ensure strict compliance with:
    • Cross-infection protocols
    • CQC regulations
  • Decontaminate and sterilise instruments correctly
  • Provide chairside support and patient reassurance
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and notes
  • Manage stock control and order clinical supplies
  • Support smooth surgery workflow and time management
  • Assist with radiographs (if qualified) in line with IRMER guidelines
  • Contribute to a professional, calm, and patient-focused environment

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

✔ GDC registered Dental Nurse (valid up-to-date registration) ✔ Experience in general dentistry (preferred: implants, orthodontics, or endodontics) ✔ Strong understanding of infection control standards ✔ Calm, organised, and able to work efficiently under pressure ✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills ✔ Professional appearance and patient-focused attitude ✔ Confident using dental software and digital systems

Bonus:

  • Prior experience in a private dental practice
  • Proven ability to proactively support dentists and patients
  • Knowledge of dental practice HR and protocol management

Requirements

  • GDC registered Dental Nurse with valid registration
  • Fully compliant with CPD requirements
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Strong understanding of cross-infection control standards
  • Comfortable assisting with a wide range of dental procedures
  • Confident using dental software
  • Professional appearance
  • Reliable, punctual, and organised
  • Ability to work full-time Mon–Fri & eights (including weekends, with mutual agreement)
