We are delighted to be recruiting for a Dental Nurse to join our friendly and professional team at Art of Dentistry in Prestwick. We have a full-time role on offer, however, the practice is also open to discussing working hours for the right candidate, offering flexibility to suit individual circumstances.
Located in the beautiful coastal town of Prestwick which is known for its relaxed seaside atmosphere, independent cafés and strong community feel, Art of Dentistry has established itself as one of Scotland’s leading private dental practices. This is an excellent opportunity for a dental nurse looking to work within a modern, high-end clinical environment, supporting advanced treatments and delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Our practice is at the forefront of cutting-edge cosmetic and restorative dentistry, offering services including teeth straightening, dental makeovers, veneers, facial rejuvenation and tooth whitening. Your Role This is a varied and rewarding role combining chairside dental nursing with treatment coordinator and reception duties. Ideal for a proactive, keen individual who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment and is eager to learn new skills.

Other duties include:
- Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
- Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
- Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each session throughout the day to maximise the efficiency of the practice and surgery utilisation
- Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensure necessary lab work and equipment is in place
- Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained
- Undertaking reception duties when required including answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges
About You
- An interest in Sedation and Implant Dentistry is welcomed with training available for the right candidate
- Must be GDC registered
- Must have experience working in Private / NHS practices
- Sedation and Implant experience is desirable
- Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care
- The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
