We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Dental Nurse Team Leader in Community Dental Services based at St Leonard in Inner North East London (INEL). We are seeking to appoint someone who is passionate about delivering a high-quality standard of care to our patients across the London boroughs of Hackney, Tower Hamlets, and Newham.
Services Include:
- Sedation
- Special Care Dentistry
- Paediatric Dentistry
- Domiciliary care
- Bariatric
- Dental Mobile service (Homeless/Medium secure unit)
You'll need to be able to work in a very busy environment whilst remaining calm and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of and commitment to delivering excellent standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- A Team Leader with specific responsibility for providing care for Domiciliary/Mobile dental unit.
- This role will also include Dental Nurse Team Leader cover at St Leonard's clinic when required.
- The post will be based at an agreed clinic but the role is peripatetic and will involve covering at all dental sites in INEL.

Other Requirements:
- Flexibility is a key requirement to run the Mobile Dental Unit. Early starts may be required to facilitate the Mobile Dental Services.
- Organisation of the dental kits and materials for the Domiciliary team/Dental Mobile.
- Undertake specific roles as and when directed by the Practice Manager to support the day-to-day running of the clinics including the planning and management of staff rotas, implementing service initiatives/developments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards including, but not limited to, CQC, Dental Practice Inspections, Standard Operating Procedures, Health & Safety Risk Assessment, etc.
- Provide advice and guidance to frontline staff, line management of the dental nurses working on outreach projects, and working in partnership with other Dental Nurse Team Leaders to ensure standardized practices across all sites.
- You will need to be able to demonstrate strong leadership, with the ability to work independently, proactively, and under pressure.
