Dental Nurse – Full-Time Position (Flexible for Trainee)
Join our exciting dental team at Sandgate Dental Practice, located in the heart of Ayr. Part of Clyde Munro Group, we’re modernising general dentistry with cutting-edge technology like a digital scanner and clear aligners, all while maintaining a patient-centred culture.
About the Role
As a Dental Nurse, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional clinical care and supporting the team at this NHS and private general dental practice. Your responsibilities include:
- Chairside support in all daily activities, ensuring smooth, efficient operation
- Creating a welcoming environment for patients to alleviate anxiety
- Maintaining accurate patient records on Software of Excellence (SoE)
- Preparing surgeries for appointments to maximise efficiency
- Anticipating clinician and patient needs, preparing necessary lab work/equipment in advance
- Monitoring and restocking supplies
- Performing reception duties as required, including:
- Telephone inquires and appointment management
- Handling patient payments

About You
We’re looking for motivated individuals who can thrive in a dynamic clinical team. Key requirements include:
- GDC registration as a trainee or qualified dental nurse
- Experience in both private and NHS environments (preferred but open to talented trainees)
- Commitment to patient-centred care, ensuring comfort and trust
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to learn, self-driven with an appetite for development
