Job Opportunity with NHS Fife’s Public Dental Service (PDS)
During this challenging time for dentistry, joining NHS Fife’s Public Dental Service (PDS) will allow you to contribute to the ever-increasing access challenges, whilst developing your career. Dental Services across Scotland have been impacted by COVID-19 and the PDS continues to play a critical role. In addition to providing urgent dental care, you will also play an important role in the prevention of oral health disease, meeting the needs of the ageing population, and reducing oral health inequalities.
The available posts offer exciting opportunities for Dental Officers to provide a comprehensive range of treatment for registered and access patients working under the GDS regulations. Providing dental care for priority group and referred patients, you will also offer a range of services to the young and elderly, develop skills in sedation or general anaesthetic, and have the opportunity to use them.
We are looking for clinicians who make patient care their first priority and who thrive working with a number of different patient groups. In return, the PDS provides an exciting working environment with access to first-class training and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive range of dental treatments for registered and access patients.
- Offer urgent dental care and prevention services.
- Serve priority group and referred patients, as well as young and elderly patients.
- Develop skills in sedation and general anaesthetic.

Location
The post will be based in Central Fife. The PDS is a Fife-wide service with 12 clinics spread between Rosyth and Cupar. You must be able to travel throughout the Kingdom providing and maintaining the level of care our patients and clients deserve.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.

Please note the salary is pro rata for part-time hours.
