Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Dental Receptionist / Front of House role based in Nottingham. The role involves greeting patients on arrival, checking them in, and ensuring they feel welcome and informed about their appointments. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries
  • Coordinating patient flow between the waiting area and treatment rooms

The Dental Receptionist will:

  • Process payments
  • Handle insurance or administrative queries
  • Support the clinical team by preparing paperwork and updating systems

The role also includes general reception duties such as:

  • Managing the waiting area
  • Organizing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Following practice policies on confidentiality, data protection, and infection control

Qualifications

  • Strong receptionist and front of house skills, including Receptionist Duties and professional Phone Etiquette.
  • Experience with Appointment Scheduling and managing patient bookings in a busy environment.
  • Effective Communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly and courteously with patients and colleagues.
  • Basic understanding of Dental Care procedures and terminology, or willingness to learn.
  • Prior experience in a dental, medical, or customer-facing reception role is beneficial.
  • Good IT skills and familiarity with practice management or booking systems.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, data protection, and high standards of patient service.
