Dental Technician – Prosthetics Department

Vivo Dental Lab is looking for a skilled and motivated Dental Technician to join our Prosthetics Department. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing, innovative laboratory committed to producing high-quality dental restorations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, process, finish, repair, and modify dental prosthetic appliances
- Construct and repair:
- Full dentures
- Partial dentures
- Implant-retained dentures
- Immediate dentures
- Other removable prostheses
- Set teeth for try-in and denture cases (TIAD) and carry out adjustments following clinician feedback
- Manufacture and process Inserta cases
- Produce temporary crowns, bridges, veneers and implant restorations when required
- Process acrylic dentures using established laboratory techniques
- Finish, polish, characterise, and quality-check restorations before dispatch
- Operate laboratory equipment including:
- Curing units
- Pressure pots
- Polishing equipment
- Milling units
- 3D printers
- Furnaces
- Other laboratory machinery
- Assist with CAD/CAM workflows where appropriate
- Read and interpret laboratory prescriptions and manufacture restorations to specification
- Work closely with dentists, clinicians and colleagues across the laboratory to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Follow laboratory SOPs, quality control procedures, and health & safety requirements
- Maintain accurate records and ensure work is completed within required turnaround times
- Participate in training and continuous professional development

- Experience in dental prosthetics
- Good understanding of removable prosthetics and dental laboratory workflows
- Experience with CAD/CAM systems is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
- GDC registration (or eligibility to register) is desirable
