Fixed term contract
Part time (2 days per week)
The DDU is the specialist dental division of the MDU and provides services to dental members in the UK and Ireland. These services include indemnity, claims handling and a range of advisory services. One of the hallmarks of the DDU is the quality of our advisory services to members, provided by our team of Dento-legal Advisers, Dental Telephone Advisers, and DCP Advisers, along with in-house and external solicitors.
We wish to appoint additional Dental Telephone Advisers on a part-time basis (2 days per week) to our specialist team to provide telephone advice to our dental members and assist in the development of our published materials and educational offering to members.
This post would be a fixed term contract (12 months). This can be reviewed with a view to extending, but the ideal candidate should have ambition to progress towards a Dento-legal Adviser role in the future.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
