About The Role
As a Haleon Expert Healthcare Professional Consultant, your role is to build relationships that drive Healthcare Professional (HCP) awareness, advocacy, and patient recommendations for Haleon’s Consumer Healthcare brands—focusing specifically on Oral Healthcare (e.g., Sensodyne, Corsodyl, Pronamel) and targeting:
- Dentists
- Dental Hygienists
- Dental Therapists
- Other relevant HCP roles
You will partner with these experts to enhance patient care, delivering compelling education and patient-benefit messaging through engaging, scientifically backed presentations—whether face-to-face, virtually, or at industry events.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
- Design and deliver high-quality educational sessions across all channels:
- Personal visits, online webinars, group lunches, and forums
- Engage HCPs effectively via digital/community platforms (social media, content campaigns)
- Maintain exemplary in-call performance (assessed via field visit evaluations and field team surveys)
- Keep updated records of client interactions and territory plans in Haleon’s internal systems
- Support Haleon’s exhibition/event/PR initiatives and ensure alignment with the *National Sales Team’s strategic priorities—adapting to encourage regional rollouts.
- Monitor expert-environment developments (competitor intelligence, trends) and suggest actionable improvements to streamline workflows
- Handle additional duties as required, including:
- Overnight stays, travel, and weekends
- Strict compliance with Haleon’s Ethics/Code of Conduct

Strategic Planning
- Align with HCP channel, Field Sales, and corporate strategies to identify opportunities for maximising reach and engagement
- Devise and execute a custom territory business plan—leveraging segmentation and targeting data for hyper-personalised outreach
Influencing & Collaboration
- Identify opportunities to partner with Dental HCPs to influence patient recommendations
- Coordinate with Practice Managers, Team Leaders, and Business Owners to organise:
- Group ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions
- Product/condition briefings
- Sample distribution
- Act as an ambassador for the Field Team, embodying Haleon’s culture of transparency and excellence
Commercial Acumen
- Articulate brand and patient benefits persuasively to key decision-makers (internally/externally)
- Optimise efficiency in time/asset usage to drive team performance:
- Individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Wider Field Team objectives

Requirements
Essential Success Factors
- Degree or relevant Dental/Healthcare industry experience
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills tailored to diverse audiences (in-person and virtual)
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK (key for field visits)
Preferred Experience
- Prior Dental sales or HCP fieldwork experience
- Background in Consumer Healthcare or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods)
- Familiarity with Digital Healthcare Engagements (social media, webinars, etc.)
