About the Role

As a Haleon Expert Healthcare Professional Consultant, your role will be to:

Build relationships to drive Healthcare Professional awareness, advocacy, and recommendation of Haleon Consumer Healthcare brands to their patients by communicating product science and patient-end benefits.

You will deliver category, condition, and brand education of Haleon’s key therapeutic areas to UK healthcare professionals (HCPs), targeting and segmenting accounts based on potential and willingness to recommend.

You will focus on the Dental channel, driving advocacy of Haleon Oral Healthcare brands (e.g., Sensodyne, Corsodyl, Pronamel) to professionals such as:

  • Dentists
  • Dental Hygienists & Therapists

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management

  • Deliver best-in-class educational sessions via all channels (face-to-face and remote), including:
    • Detailing
    • Lunch & Learns
    • Large forums
    • Social media engagement (aligned with digital strategy)
  • Maintain high call-quality metrics, measured through:
    • Field visit assessments
    • Expert-Performance Tracking
    • Sales Force Effectiveness surveys
  • Ensure accurate documentation of calls, tasks completed, and planned work in internal systems.
  • Represent Haleon at relevant exhibitions, events, and PR initiatives to support business goals.
  • Provide quarterly updates on HCP environment developments, including:
    • Competitor intelligence
    • Suggested improvements to the field team’s structure and focus areas.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by the role, including:
    • Overnight stays
    • Evening and weekend work
    • Strict compliance with Haleon Ethics and code of conduct.

Strategic Planning

  • Align with HCP channel, Field Sales team, and Haleon business strategy in a dynamic environment.
  • Develop and execute a territory-specific business plan, optimizing:
    • HCP targeting
    • Segmentation
    • Reach and engagement levels

Influencing & Collaboration

  • Identify opportunities to partner with Dental HCPs to recommend Haleon products for patient care.
  • Work with Practice Managers, Team Leaders, and Business Owners to organize and plan:
    • Group education sessions
    • Product presentations
    • Lunch & Learns
    • Sample distribution
  • Act as a consistent ambassador of the expert field team, demonstrating Haleon’s core values.

Commercial Acumen

  • Engage and reinforce commercial and/or patient benefits with internal and external key decision-makers.
  • Optimize use of time and company resources for maximum efficiency.
  • Achieve and contribute to individual KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and field team objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • A degree or relevant Dental Industry experience.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for diverse audience sizes, both face-to-face and remotely.
  • A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.

Preferred

  • Previous Dental Industry experience or Sales Representative background.
  • Familiarity with Healthcare Professional (HCP) or commercial field environments.
  • Experience in Consumer Healthcare, Oral Healthcare, or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sectors.
