About The Role

Looking for a Dental Therapist role that offers flexibility as well as purpose?

We're building a brand new Oral Health service in Tower Hamlets and are looking for passionate Dental Therapists to join us. Whether you're looking for full time hours, term time only working or a job share, we'd love to hear from you. We know flexibility matters and we're committed to finding an arrangement that works for you.

This is your opportunity to do more than provide treatment. You'll work directly with children and young people in schools and community settings, delivering preventative, educational and clinical dental care that helps improve oral health, reduce inequalities and create healthier futures.

  • You'll support children to build lifelong healthy habits while helping families access the care they need.
  • Working alongside school nurses, public health colleagues and a wider multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in shaping a new service from the very beginning.
  • From fluoride varnish applications and oral health assessments to supervised toothbrushing programmes and engaging health promotion activities, no two days will be the same.

If you're passionate about prevention, enjoy working with children and want to see the lasting impact of your work across an entire community, this is a role where your skills will genuinely change lives.

  • Prevent disease.
  • Build confidence.
  • Give children smiles that last a lifetime.

About You

Your clinical skills are important, but it's your passion for prevention that will make the biggest difference.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You're someone who believes every child deserves the opportunity to grow up with a healthy smile. You enjoy working with children and families, building trusted relationships and helping people make positive changes that improve their health for years to come. You act with integrity, value others, find practical solutions and take pride in delivering high quality care that makes a real difference.

For this role, essentially you'll need:

  • A BSc or Diploma in Dental Therapy (or equivalent).
  • Current General Dental Council (GDC) registration.
  • A Certificate in Fluoride Varnish Application.
  • Experience delivering clinical dental therapy services and preventative dental care.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Knowledge of public health approaches to improving children's oral health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage children, young people and families.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and delivering high quality, compassionate care.

Experience delivering supervised toothbrushing programmes, working with children who have additional needs or vulnerabilities, delivering fluoride varnish programmes, or qualifications in oral health education or public health would be advantageous but aren't essential.
