Department Manager

Department Manager | Customer-Focused Retail

Location: North Norfolk Salary: £30,000 - £31,500

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Department Manager to join a forward-thinking, customer-led retailer dedicated to delivering exceptional service and a seamless shopping experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of a retail department, driving performance, maintaining high standards, and fostering a positive team dynamic while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the department, leading from the front to set standards and inspire your team.
  • Ensure commercial targets are met while maintaining outstanding customer experience, merchandising, and store presentation.
  • Oversee sales performance, visual merchandising, and overall store appearance and engagement.
  • Coach, develop, and motivate employees to build a strong team culture and drive results.
  • Support operational excellence across all aspects of the business.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience in a customer-focused retail environment.
  • Strong ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.
  • Experience in a multi-product or fast-paced retail setting (desirable).
  • A passion for exceptional customer service and commitment to high standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to drive sales and performance while maintaining operational efficiency.
