Dependency and Recovery Coordinator - Full-Time Position

Job Title
Dependency and Recovery Coordinator
Location & Contract
- Locations: Leamington and Nuneaton Justice Centres
- Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Salary Range: £28,557.79 – £32,802.41 (currently graded at CGL Points 23-28)
- Salary Structure:
- Full-time salaries are paid as shown above.
- Part-time salaries will be calculated pro rata based on contracted hours.
About the Role
As a Dependency and Recovery Coordinator, you will:
- Support service users from point of entry through their treatment and recovery journey
- Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning, facilitating referrals to specialist services
- Reduce harm related to drugs and alcohol, both for individuals and the wider community
- Promote carer/service user involvement and community engagement
- Act as an advocate, ensuring access to partnership services and external support
- Work with service users to enable social (reintegration), empowering them to:
- Achieve meaningful and purposeful lives
- Promote recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination
- Research, design and prepare treatment materials for group/pod sessions
- Deliver structured group/facilitated content tailored to different stages of recovery
- Lead group discussions or workshops on topics such as:
- Anger management
- Sleep disorders
- Relationships
- Conduct debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitators post-group, assessing:
- Service user progress
- Identifying key concerns

About You
Essential Criteria
- Deep understanding of substance misuse, with proven experience working within the field
- Experience of group facilitation/pod management, including:
- Handling conflict and challenging behaviours
- Managing dynamics effectively
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) plus proficiency in IT systems
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise time effectively, and proactively drive your responsibilities
- Strong working knowledge of mental health interventions and best practices
- Excellent team player with:
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with internal/external stakeholders
- Commitment to managing change while prioritising the needs of service users
- Knowledge and adherence to information governance, including safeguarding protocols
Desirable
- A proactive approach to professional development
- Committed to both personal growth and supporting the training of others
- Familiarity with restorative justice models or comparable recovery frameworks
