Job Description
As a Depositary Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality depositary oversight services across a diverse portfolio of investment fund clients. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, leading and developing a high-performing team, and ensuring regulatory compliance across key depositary activities, including asset verification, cash monitoring, and oversight. Working closely with senior leadership, Compliance, clients, and third-party providers, you will drive operational excellence, strengthen governance, and support the continued growth of the Depositary function.
What You'll Do
- You will manage a portfolio of Depositary clients, acting as the primary relationship lead while ensuring exceptional client service, effective oversight, and timely resolution of operational and regulatory matters.
- You will lead, coach, and develop the Depositary team, providing clear direction, supporting performance, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
- You will oversee depositary operations, including onboarding, asset verification, cash monitoring, compliance oversight, risk management, and quality assurance, ensuring all activities are delivered to the highest standards.
- You will act as the senior escalation point for operational issues, client queries, and risk events, working closely with Compliance, internal teams, and external stakeholders to deliver practical and effective solutions.
- You will drive continuous improvement by enhancing processes, strengthening controls, improving reporting, and embedding best practices across the Depositary function.

Qualifications
- You have a degree or equivalent professional qualification, together with experience in financial services and at least 3 years of leadership or people management experience.
- You have a strong understanding of depositary operations, regulatory frameworks, governance, and operational risk within the investment funds industry.
- You have proven experience managing teams, developing talent, and delivering high-quality client service in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
- You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage complex client relationships and operational challenges.
- You are a confident communicator with strong organisational skills, sound judgement, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while maintaining a robust control environment.
