Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Depot Engineer – Power Generation based in Bedford. You'll play a vital role in keeping our generators fleet ready to power critical customer operations across the UK.
What you'll do as a Depot Engineer – Power Generation:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and overhauls on Aggreko's power generation fleet, ensuring equipment is delivered to the highest standards of reliability and performance.
- Test, inspect and commission generators and associated equipment, producing accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Identify faults, investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to maximise fleet availability and customer satisfaction.
- Manage workshop tools, consumables and spare parts while maintaining an organised, safe and efficient working environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with colleagues to achieve operational and depot performance targets.

- NVQ Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Maintenance, Heavy Vehicle Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experienced working on diesel engines, generators, plant machinery, HGVs, agricultural equipment, forklifts or similar heavy mechanical equipment.
- Skilled in fault-finding, diagnostics and repair, with a strong focus on safety, quality and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using digital service systems and Microsoft Office applications to record maintenance activity and technical reports.
- A proactive team player who enjoys solving problems and takes pride in delivering first-class equipment reliability.
