We are supporting a well-established powered access and plant hire business who are looking to appoint a Depot Engineer to join their workshop team in the LE65 area.
This is a hands-on workshop based role responsible for the inspection, maintenance, fault finding and repair of powered access equipment including scissor lifts, boom lifts, cherry pickers, and telehandlers.
The role is based at a busy depot environment, working as part of a small engineering team to ensure equipment is fully serviced, safe, and ready for hire.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on powered access and plant equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults
- Inspect, service, and prepare scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, and similar machinery for hire
- Complete pre-delivery inspections and safety checks
- Ensure all equipment is compliant with safety and operational standards
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Support workshop efficiency and turnaround targets
- Work collaboratively within the depot engineering team

Candidate Requirements
- Experience working as a Plant Fitter, Service Engineer, Access Engineer, or similar role
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault finding skills
- Basic electrical diagnostic ability desirable
- Experience working with powered access equipment or plant hire machinery preferred
- Ability to work independently in a workshop environment
- Strong attention to detail with a safety-focused mindset
- Full UK driving licence
