Role: Depot Manager

Contract type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance
Restore Datashred is a leading provider of secure shredding and confidential waste management services across the UK. We help organisations protect their information, stay compliant and manage their data responsibly, combining trusted processes with a strong focus on service and safety.
As Depot Manager, you will oversee the day to day operations of our South Kirkby site, ensuring that service delivery, safety, compliance and team performance are consistently upheld. You will play a key role in maintaining excellent customer relationships, driving operational standards and ensuring the depot runs safely, efficiently and to budget.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all daily depot operations to ensure a safe, efficient and compliant working environment that supports excellent service delivery
- Ensuring all customers receive timely and accurate services in line with contractual requirements, resolving any challenges quickly and professionally
- Leading on the achievement of operational KPIs, quality standards and financial targets, while continuously seeking ways to improve depot performance
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, taking ownership of escalations and promoting a positive, solutions focused service culture
- Managing, coaching and developing depot staff to create a motivated team that delivers high standards and meets all company expectations
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and supporting the implementation of new initiatives
- Overseeing the maintenance, compliance and safe operation of the depot fleet, site equipment and all physical aspects of the premises
- Delivering clear and consistent communication across the team, ensuring key messages, updates and operational priorities are shared and understood

Essential Requirements:
- Proven operational management experience within transport, logistics or a similar fast paced environment, with accountability for day to day service performance
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a diverse team while maintaining high performance standards
- A customer focused approach with experience managing service issues or escalations and building trusted, long standing relationships
- Solid understanding of operational compliance, safe working practices and relevant regulations, with the ability to embed standards across the site
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence, engage and work effectively with colleagues, customers and stakeholders
- Good financial awareness with experience contributing to budgets, managing cost areas or working with P&L information
- A proactive and solutions driven mindset with the ability to challenge existing practices and introduce more efficient ways of working
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification and the capability to operate effectively under pressure in a fast moving operational environment
- Transport Manager CPC
