Depot/Warehouse Operations Manager
Location: St Ives
Lead the operation. Drive improvement. Develop great people.
At Arena, we're looking for an experienced Depot/Warehouse Operations Manager to take ownership of our warehouse and yard operations in St Ives. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant running of our depot while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and team development.
You'll play a pivotal role in maximising the use of our warehouse and yard footprint, leading the implementation and optimisation of our Warehouse Management System (WMS), and ensuring we consistently deliver outstanding service, quality, and cost efficiency.
What you'll be doing
- Leading all warehouse and yard operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant working practices.
- Managing inventory, storage, goods-in and goods-out activities to maintain operational excellence and stock accuracy.
- Driving the implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement of the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Developing and leading a high-performing warehouse team through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Identifying and delivering process improvements to increase productivity, quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability standards.
- Managing warehouse space and yard utilisation to maximise capacity and operational effectiveness.
- Working closely with internal departments to support business objectives and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Monitoring operational performance through KPIs and implementing actions to achieve targets.

About you
- Proven experience in a warehouse, depot, or logistics leadership role.
- Strong people management skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Experience implementing or managing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Excellent understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics processes.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice within a warehouse environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Confident communicator who can build effective relationships across teams and departments.
- Organised, commercially aware, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
