Deputy Carehome Manager

Deputy Manager – Dove Tree House, Exeter

Dove Tree House, our care home in Exeter, is seeking a Deputy Manager to report directly to the Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The role is part-time (equivalent to 45 hours/week, including some weekend shifts) and encompasses:

  • Care delivery: Contributing to care shifts when required
  • Administrative support: Assisting the Manager with:
    • Care planning
    • Staff rotas and leaves
    • Supervisions
    • Staff training bookings
  • Activities coordination: Helping the Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator design meaningful daily activities for residents
  • Medication Administration: Essential experience for this role

Essential Requirements

  • Experience: Senior care level (Level 3 NVQ/Diploma) or above preferred
  • Sector background: Minimum of 1–2 years experience working in a care/nursing home environment for the elderly
  • Licensed practice:
    • Proficiency in Medication Administration is mandatory
    • Demonstrated proficiency inclinical assessments if applicable
  • Attitude & attributes: Passionate, friendly, dedicated individuals who set high standards for themselves
  • Residency & legal compliance:
    • Must hold the right to work in the UK
    • organisation is unable to sponsor visas

Salary & Terms

  • Hourly rate: £15.20 – £16.45 (pro rata depending on accuracy of hours worked)
