Deputy Chief Executive & Chief Learning Officer (CLO)

We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Chief Executive & Chief Learning Officer (CLO) to join our Executive Leadership Team. This is a rare opportunity to influence the future of further education, driving innovation, excellence and outstanding learner outcomes across our Group.

As our Chief Learning Officer, you will lead the strategic direction of curriculum, teaching and learning, ensuring our educational provision is ambitious, inclusive and responsive to the needs of learners, employers and our communities. Working alongside the CEO and Board, you will play a pivotal role in shaping organisational strategy while championing educational excellence across multiple college sites.

  • Driving educational innovation in response to post-16 reform, T Levels and emerging skills priorities.

  • Developing and inspiring senior curriculum leaders to achieve excellence.
  • Leading organisational readiness for Ofsted and ensuring outstanding educational quality.
  • Building strong partnerships with employers, stakeholders and regional skills leaders.

We're Looking For

You Will Be An Accomplished Senior Leader With

  • Significant executive leadership experience within Further Education or a comparable educational environment.
  • A proven track record of improving learner outcomes and leading curriculum excellence.
  • Experience of successfully leading through Ofsted inspection.
  • Deep expertise in curriculum design, teaching, learning and educational quality.
  • The ability to inspire, influence and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strategic vision combined with the drive to deliver measurable impact.
