Job Description
Location: Crystal Care Solutions - Oakley House
Deputy Children's Worker - Full Time - 2:4 shift pattern with Sleep-ins

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Care Manager to help lead our dedicated team in providing therapeutic care to children and young people in our residential homes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, a commitment to best practice, and a desire to help young people thrive.
About The Role
Your Role
- Leading care practices in the home and deputising for the Registered Manager
- Overseeing staff supervision, development, and performance
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding protocols and regulatory requirements
- Working directly with children to promote positive relationships and outcomes
- Planning shifts, allocating resources, and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations
- Supporting the development and implementation of individual care and therapeutic plans
- Collaborating with external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for young people
- Promoting an inclusive, nurturing, and stable home environment
What we are looking for
Essential
- 1 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role in residential care
- 2 years’ experience working in residential childcare
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Willingness and ability to complete Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification
- Excellent understanding of child development, trauma-informed practice, and safeguarding
- Proven team leadership, organisation, and delegation skills
- Knowledge of regulations and legal frameworks in residential care
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Resilience, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins
- Commitment to ongoing professional development

Required Criteria
- 1 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role in residential children's care

- Prior experience of Taking responsibility for overseeing aspects of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager and Deputy.
- Experience of supporting Ofsted Inspections
