Deputy Digital Evidence Quality Manager
The role will be based at our offices at 2-4 Cockspur Street, London, SW1Y 5BS, in central London, however please note that we are due to move to Canary Wharf in late 2026. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas. Informal hybrid working arrangements apply and there is an expectation that staff will attend the office regularly. Work pattern and office attendance will be agreed with successful candidates.
Job Summary
As a Deputy Digital Evidence Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Forensic Science Activities (FSA’s) relating to data capture, processing, and analysis from digital storage devices within the SFO. You will collaborate closely with the Digital Evidence Quality Manager, digital forensic practitioners, and other relevant stakeholders to maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and efficiency in our Digital Forensic and eDiscovery operations.
Job Description
As a Deputy Digital Evidence Quality Manager you will:
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining QM strategies for digital forensic investigations. Conduct audits to improve processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborate to analyse data for operational efficiency and actionable insights. Ensure training materials meet competency standards for Forensic Science activities. Support equipment maintenance and calibration for reliable investigation results. Contribute to comprehensive quality management documentation, including SOPs and reports. Investigate and address non-conformities in digital forensic processes. Stay updated on industry trends and recommend procedural updates accordingly. Collaborate with external stakeholders for insights on quality assurance processes. Lead in fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

A personal statement of no more than 750 words that explains how your skills and experience meet the following essential criteria:
Proficiency in digital forensics tools and methodologies, with experience in diverse digital evidence types. Strong grasp of ISO17025 and ISO17020 standards with a track record in implementing and maintaining quality systems, aligning with ILAC-G19 guidelines. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, incorporating Forensic Science Regulators Code of Practice. A supporting CV outlining your job history and qualifications
