Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – Royal Liverpool University Hospital Site
We are looking for a Deputy Endoscopy Manager to work at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. This role operates autonomously and provides oversight of the Endoscopy Unit in the absence of the department manager, who retains ultimate responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care
- Exercise leadership and management of staff, including development and training
- Ensure adherence to the NMC’s Code of Professional Conduct at all times
- Daily coordination of the Endoscopy department, including:
- Planning, allocation and evaluation of team/workloads
- Roster management, absence, and sickness coordination
- Specialist knowledge delivery to all Nursing staff within the unit
- Promote a critical, analytical approach in delivering high standards of patient care
- Support (in collaboration with the Endoscopy Manager) to review and update clinical protocols for patient care
- Continuous quality improvement, embedding best practice and clinical benchmarking
- Ensure culturally sensitive and value-inclusive patient care, respecting spiritual beliefs
- Explore expanded practice opportunities (where applicable) to optimise patient experience within hospital policy

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Endoscopy Experience
