Great Yorkshire Events Centre
Consisting of two expansive spaces - Hall 1 and Hall 2. Offering 6,270m2 of flexible event space, the Halls are a popular venue for a diverse range of large-scale events, from gala dinners to exhibitions and trade fairs.
Pavilions of Harrogate
This award-winning space, featuring 14 elegant rooms, accommodates a wide variety of smaller gatherings, from sophisticated awards dinners to weddings and conferences.
The Grounds
Spanning 250 acres, the Great Yorkshire Showground is also home to the renowned Great Yorkshire Show. With 6km of internal roads, hundreds of acres of green space, and a 4,000-seat Main Ring, our expansive venue is ideal for events that demand large outdoor areas, including exhibitions, filming and automotive events.
All profits raised from events at the Great Yorkshire Events Centre raises funds for the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, a registered charity proudly at the heart of farming, food and the countryside; now and forever.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure the venue is prepared for arrival according to the client's specification, setting out furniture, installing electrical cables and AV equipment etc. This is a hands-on role. Contribute to the overall organisational goals. To be an integral part of the events team. Display the values of the Society. Support the Senior Event Managers and Event Managers in the successful delivery of events. Manage all contractors, sub-contractors and casual workers as required by events. Ensure the venue is excellently presented assisting with the cleaning of the venue, including floors, kitchens, toilets and any other areas so they meet the company standards for cleanliness. Ensure clients expectations are met and where possible exceeded. Ensure a positive customer experience by overseeing all aspects of their experience. Support the sales team with show rounds and proposals by providing operational knowledge and guidance. Work as part of the events team to ensure efficiency and control costs to deliver expected margins. Ensure the health, safety & wellbeing standards are continually monitored and where possible improved. Play an active part carrying out any testing requirements according to legislation and our H/S policies. Encourage a one team environment. Identify opportunities to improve operational performance and visitor experience. Key Holder Ensure the service of alcohol complies with our Premises License and is delivered to the expected standard.

Purpose of the Role
To work as part of the operations team in our event venues to ensure the continued success of the organisation. Working closely with the Senior Event Managers and Event Managers to deliver safe and successful events.

Experience & Qualifications
Experience of events planning, management, or operational delivery would be ideal but not essential Experience working in a team. Health & Safety qualifications ( training provided) Personal License Holder (training provided) Accredited SIA Door Supervisor ( training provided) First Aider ( training provided) Fire Warden ( training provided)
Practical skills associated with event delivery including:
Forklift/ Telehandler IPAF 3a & 3b (Scissor Lift & Cherry Picker) Manual Handling Installation of AV & PA systems Setting up of the venue for a variety of events including furniture and equipment Cleaning and waste management
