About the Role
Are you an ambitious Food & Beverage professional seeking your next challenge within a stunning resort setting? This premium countryside destination in North Devon is looking for a Deputy Food & Beverage Manager to help lead a thriving multi-outlet operation and build a long-term career in resort hospitality.
Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, you will play a key role in:
- Leading teams across restaurants, bars, events, and weddings
- Enhancing commercial performance
- Ensuring consistently high operational standards

Responsibilities
People Leadership & Culture
✅ Lead, motivate and inspire Food & Beverage teams to deliver exceptional guest service ✅ Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development ✅ Conduct regular coaching and performance conversations ✅ Foster a positive, high-performing culture built on accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement
Commercial Performance
📈 Assist in achieving revenue and profitability targets through:
- Elevating upselling opportunities
- Maximising average spend per guest
- Monitoring labour costs, stock control, and wastage
- Utilising sales data and guest feedback for growth initiatives
- Supporting seasonal offers, events, and promotions
Operational Excellence & Guest Experience
⭐ Ensure all outlets consistently meet high standards in:
- Service delivery
- Presentation
- Cleanliness
- Guest satisfaction ✅ Maintain strong guest satisfaction scores ✅ Proactively resolve guest concerns and ensure compliance with:
- Food safety
- Licensing requirements
- Health and safety standards ✅ Collaborate with kitchen, events, housekeeping, and resort operations teams

Performance Management
📊 Monitor and drive Key Performance Indicators, including:
- Guest satisfaction metrics
- Labour percentage
- Revenue performance
- Service standards ✅ Lead pre-shift briefings ✅ Communicate business priorities clearly to the team ✅ Support operational improvements and service initiatives
About You
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management Food & Beverage role within hospitality, hotels, or resorts
- Strong people management skills with a genuine passion for team development
- Commercially aware with a solid understanding of:
- Profitability
- Labour management
- Highly organised with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
