Deputy Manager Requirements
- Essential experience:
- Solid background in a similar deputy/senior management role, with a proven track record of leading teams
- Essential experience in restaurant/hospitality, with a history of driving team success
- Key skills:
- Strong financial management, including budgets, labour controls, forecasting, and audits
- Commercial acumen to drive sales and operational results
- Robust problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
- Exemplary communication skills to lead, inspire, and provide exceptional guest service
- Right to Work in the UK

Deputy Manager Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the Front of House (FOH) team
- Oversee all operational facets of the business, including:
- People management & development
- Guest service excellence
- Sales & profitability
- Operations, health & safety, and property maintenance
- Maintain Upham Inns standards, ensuring the team delivers targets through a People-first, Guest-obsessed, Operational Excellence Strategy
- Work closely with the General Manager to uphold excellence across the premises
- Serve as a role model, guiding staff training and professional growth
